Membership terms
Last updated 2026-09-18. This page describes, in plain language, what you're agreeing to when you check the box at checkout and become a paying member. It isn't a substitute for reading it yourself, and if anything here ever seems to conflict with how the product actually behaves, how it actually behaves is what governs your account.
The trial
Every plan — Solo, Team, and Enterprise — starts with a 7-day free trial from the moment you check out. Your account has full member access for those 7 days. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.
Billing
After the trial, your plan renews monthly at the price shown on the Plans page for the tier you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account's billing portal — cancelling stops future renewals; it doesn't refund time already paid for on the current billing period.
Access
Membership access is tied to having an active subscription. If a payment fails and isn't resolved, or you cancel, access to member features stops when the current billing period ends. Your account itself — the free account area you signed up with — isn't deleted.
Your data
Each member's data is private to their own account. It is never pooled with, or shared into, another subscriber's data. You can export your own data at any time, whether or not you're an active member.
Team seats
The Team plan includes 2–5 members. Additional seats beyond 5 can be added and are billed as an add-on to the Team plan. Removing a seat takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Acceptable use
Use ResumeState for its intended purpose: helping you and your AI tools pick up work where it left off. Don't use it to store or process content you don't have the right to store, and don't try to disrupt or abuse the service for other members.
Changes
The product is still early, and these terms may be updated as it grows. Material changes to pricing or what a tier includes will be reflected on the Plans page before they take effect for existing members.
